Delano peak
This is how the Delano peak greats the daring hikers who against all hiking rules decide to ascend to it via no-trail route. Rather magnificent view and rarely seen as well. The snow patches might disappear by the end of July beginning of August, but as of now they provide patches of cool air so refreshing after the scorching temperatures in the valley.

The Peak, The Wool and Bones
The tiny human figures in the distance are: our fearless-NeverLost leader Scott and miscellaneous. The peak itself does not look so threatening but this little hill is 12,169 feet (3,709 meters) high. To add to the over all difficulties was the trailblazing aspect of this venture - basically we were climbing it up from the wrong side of the mountain and without a trail. On our ascending to the top we were greeted by ever elusive mountain goats. Unfortunately the ever elusive mountain goats were not in the mood to pose for photos, due to that fact i only managed to photograph the goat wool, better luck next time.
That was the only thing that i manage to capture on my trusted Canon SD1000. The elusive mountain goats were rather elusive this time. The heard of the white furry animals from time to time showed itself on the horizon but not long or close enough for any meaningful photos. Bones of the dead siblings were another souvenir the elusive goats left us.

On top of it all
Snowstorms can sometimes create an unusual cloud formation that will wrap the mountain in a blanket of white fuzziness. The pick itself is not as high as one might think but the rolling clouds underneath giving it a nice elevation boost.
